    Dear Candidate Earman,

Please answer the questions below at your earliest convenience. I will base my personal voting decision upon your response, and I will make my decision public.

Do you support mask and vaccine mandates?

Do you support 5G, Smart Meters, and other harmful EMF radiation? How will you limit this exposure?

Do you support the arrest of a law-abiding person for trespass, simply for being in a public place such as a library, county office, or park? How would you address this event?

Do you support any limitations on building and development in the County? Please explain.

What is your plan for keeping our waterways clean?

    Thanks,

    Deborah Cooney

With the current SARs CoV2 pandemic I am curious as to your feelings about mandating a mask order in the county that would require the citizens of the county to wear a mask in all businesses and in public where it is not possible to practice social distancing. The current mask order passed by the commission only requires masks to be worn in government buildings and on Goline buses. The recent vote on requiring a more comprehensive mask order was voted down 3 to 2 at the last commission meeting. With Walmart/Sam’s Club, Target, CVS, Walgreens, Publix, Starbucks and many other small businesses requiring that customers wear masks it seems like the county should back them with some type of enforcement order. I read your are pro business How would you vote for a mandatory mask order.

    Sincerely,

    Bill Wood

    Joe,

The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce believes it is important to have an educated electorate. This year the Chamber is requesting a half hour of your time for a one-on-one interview with me. We intend to post these videos on our website and provide a link to all our members in both the June and July e-newsletters as well as include them in our social media offerings. Our reach through this distribution is over 4,000 residents in Indian River County. We intend to keep the videos about 15 minutes in length. To make the process easier, we are providing the questions to you in advance.

We are taking reservations for June 10th through June 12th. Slots are available beginning at 9:30 a.m. and running through 2:00 p.m.

If you choose to participate, please provide us in Word format-

    • Your bio in 200 words or less, and

    • Contact the Chamber office at 772-567-3491 to schedule your video time.

Please email your bios in Word format to me and write “Candidate” in the “Subject” line. You will also have time to introduce yourself on the video as well.

The question we will ask you is:

What do you see as the three biggest challenges facing indian River County?

For your safety and the safety of our team, we limit the number of people in our building to three guests. Our conference room is kept clean and we require masks to enter the building. If you have concerns about your safety, please reach out to me directly.

I would like to see all the illegal gambling parlors (there are 20) operating in IRC closed. Do you agree with this since many elderly lose so much of their fixed incomes in these parlors and the operations violate state law?
